Wodehouse, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart!  A dancing, singing and laughing extravaganza!

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

starring EDDIE MEKKA!

July 31, August 1 and 2

EDDIE MEKKA, who put his indelible stamp on Tevye in last summer's FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, returns to play Pseudolus in this, one of the funniest musicals you'll ever see,.  Set in ancient Rome, which could easily have been the lower east side of Manhattan, the way the vaudeville style dialogue reels off joke after joke, FORUM features the songs of Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim, including "Comedy Tonight," and "Everybody Ought To Have A Maid."  A rip-roaring way to end our summer season!

Here's what a Naples, Florida newspaper review had to say about Eddie Mekka in FORUM:

"Mekka delights from the first moment he steps on stage with a huge grin. Any performance of "Forum" must be built on a strong Pseudolus; Mekka doesn't just carry this show - he propels it forward as if powered by a jet engine shooting flames of merriment into the audience. Gifted at physical comedy, he dances, twirls and leaps about the stage. "The Big Ragu" is great, big fun!"
