Eddie Mekka in A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To The Forum

July 31st, 2015 - August 2nd, 2015

Eddie Mekka in A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To The Forum

One of the funniest musicals in the history of the American theatre, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM combines the music and lyrics of Stephen Sondheim's first big hit, with the comedy writing of P.G Wodehouse, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, to create a runaway laugh-fest that promises to have you rolling in the aisles! EDDIE MEKKA stars. This is what a Florida newspaper said about his performance as "Pseudolus"-"Mekka delights from the first moment he steps on stage with a huge grin. Any performance of "Forum" must be built on a strong Pseudolus; Mekka doesn't just carry this show - he propels it forward as if powered by a jet engine shooting flames of merriment into the audience. Gifted at physical comedy, he dances, twirls and leaps about the stage. "The Big Ragu" is great, big fun!"
